I don't really know what to say about this book but every time I see this book Tom Holland just pops up in my head. Which is weird or maybe the reason was since there's a character in the book that probably reminds me of him.
There's this certain event that happened a few years ago, The Day. The day the windows shattered. The day the power stopped. The day Dol's family dropped dead. The day Earth lost a war it didn't know it was fighting. Since then, Dol just lived a simple life, hiding and surviving.
Dol is different. She survived. Why?
When I first read the book I wasn't overly impressed with how Margaret wrote it but this book totally gave me some feels and well I adore this book. It's phenomenal and different. I never wanted to put the book down and when I would it was the only thing on my mind and when I picked it back up I wouldn't stop reading. The main character, Dol, is very fantastic, loyal and fierce. There's also Ro and Lucas they we're both really great and the love triangle, well it's good and the great thing about it was the Margaret didn't just force herself to write it down it just seemed natural. Icons is fast-paced and captivating which blew my mind.
