SYNOPSIS

Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate... until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.

The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.

MY THOUGHTS

The book had an okay plot though and it was somehow interesting but it wasn't able to reach my expectations. The twists in this book was kind of predictable thus, I'm rating it with 2.5/5 stars.

It was hard for me to understand since the book wasn't explained that well and it was confusing, like heck. I was forced to understand things that weren't explained. This book sort of has a love triangle and Cassia is in between Xander and Ky. Well, forbidden love is all around, and Cassia must find out why the society has some secrets and Cassia was like, "It's all up to me!"

In terms of Ally's writing it was snail-paced, Ally did add some romantic scenes and one scene that at least had a small sense of grief, but everything else was just dull. And the most weirdest thing is that the people can read and operate computers but they can't write.

But basically though,

I still read the second book which was Crossed and I was halfway to finishing Reached, but I couldn't take it anymore. So, if you're curious enough to read this, sure go ahead but don't get your hopes up with this book.
