SYNOPSIS
A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs.
It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.
A spine-tingling fantasy illustrated with haunting vintage photography, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes an adventure in the shadows.
MY THOUGHTS
When I first saw the book at the book store I really thought it was a horror book due to it's book cover but after a few days, my sister bought the book and decided to read it. After my sister read the book, my brother borrowed it and well based on what my brother kept on asking my sister with questions such as, "what's next", because he couldn't wait any further to know what's going to happen next. Well, due to that I was so intrigued and borrowed it from my sister.
The common mistake that people make is by judging the book due to it's cover, like what I did. I thought it was about kids who we're in an Asylum or something but I was a hundred percent wrong. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is far from what I thought it was about. I came to this conclusion that people avoid reading it since it looks scary and I have to admit it does but nevertheless, it had a good plot.
It's very entertaining and it has a different type of story that I have never read before. This story is sort-of Sci-Fi, Horror and Fantasy that was put together all at once and the story was told with old photographs to make the story even more imaginable and better.
The story itself, is peculiar but prodigious.
Now, look at this cute little edit I found that made me giggle
